G55-510 and G55-511 Oxygen gas detectors in IP55 housing
The G55-510 and G55-511 Gas detectors are equipped with an electro-chemical cell head suitable for Oxygen gas detection. The detection is specified in percentage of air volume.The set-up standard with oxygen excess is:Pre-Alarm : 24%Alarm : 27%The set-up standard with oxygen lack is:Pre-Alarm : 18%Alarm : 15% This second case is typical in the indirect detection of inert gases, which usually cause a drop of the oxygen percentage in the air (normally at 21%), such as the nitrogen oxide in the operating rooms or in analysis laboratories.
The head average life time is 1 year with the best ambient conditions and without pollution. After this period, the head can be replaced through an easy and chip operation, without disassembling the detector.This procedure has to be executed by authorized people.
The detector is equipped with a dust-proof, IP55 metal housing (ADFT) where both the electronics and the sensitive element are located. The sensitive element is positioned in the lowest part and is protected by a proper sintered bronze filter of conic shape.
